As of January 12, a Found Animal microchip donated by a grant from Bissell Pet Foundation is included FREE with spay/neuter services while grant lasts!

Proof of income and id is required at time of registration. Advance registration required - call now! Available to all Haywood County residents.

Our goal is to assure that everyone who has a cat or dog can afford to spay or neuter their pet and outdoor cats. The shelter is overpopulated with unwanted animals euthanized each year. Spaying and neutering your animals are the only proven way to reduce the pet overpopulation. Help us spread the word!

To take advantage of our low cost spay/neuter program you must make advance reservations as there are a limited number of spaces available on each transport. Please bring proof of income with you to register. If you are on public assistance, please bring valid government issued ID with you as well. This is required by the NC State Spay/Neuter Fund. Haywood Spay/Neuter does not limit services based on income. All client information will be confidential.
